So... umm... as it turns out, I am still officially the luckiest motherfucker to ever exist. I called into Live 105 a few weeks ago when they were doing the Coachella giveaway, and I got caller 20, but I was under the impression that I had only won entry into a grand prize drawing for Coachella tickets (which I did not end up winning), because that was what the DJ told me. But apparently the DJ was wrong. I got a call today from a number I didn't recognize, so I ignored it. Then I got a voicemail telling me I have to go to Live 105 next week to pick up my tickets.
So... I dunno exactly what this means. Perhaps Danielle and/or Clement can come? If you guys both come, the passes will cost you guys $183 each, but you'll have to find your own hotel room (sorry). Although you can probably get one in the same hotel... it's not expensive. Or you guys could buy camping passes. Melissa and Mari Rose your totals will both go down to $377 (for Coachella, hotel, and Franz). If only one of you can come, you'll be able to squeeze into the hotel room (as long as the hotel doesn't find out). The price we all pay depends on how much I sell the extra pass for, but assuming I get face value for it, Coachella and hotel would be $288 for each of us (plus $46 for Franz).
I know I'm getting a little ahead of myself and it still might not be feasible for you guys to come. But it would be awesome if you could. So I'm just throwing the various costs out there so you know what they are if you consider coming.

I'm really diggin' the new laptop. Although I need a case for it so I can take it to school. I'm running boot camp on it, pretty much just so I can play Rollercoaster Tycoon. Also, I had no fucking clue where the speakers were on this thing until I just googled it.
My car is getting fixed. Everything that needs to be fixed is gonna cost $650. I'm getting new wheel bearings, new rotors, new calipers, and new brake pads. And the something bracket that's missing from my rear something. I think that's it. But apparently this should be the only bit of maintenence that it's going to need for a while. Except tires. I need new tires. Meh.
This bit is for Melissa and Mari Rose. The total cost for Coachella tickets, the hotel room, and Franz Ferdinand tickets is $500 (well $498.99 to be exact). Whenever you can pay me is fine, but sooner would be better than later 'cause I'm running a bit low on money in my account. And if your parents want to write me a check (which I'm assuming they will) that'll be fine.

Okay, these are our lodging options for Coachella:
Vacation rental. I thought I might be able to find a good deal, but at best this will cost $140 per person for the entire weekend, which is kind of out of our price range. And then there's always a significant chance it's a scam and they'll take a couple hundred dollars and leave us with nowhere to stay. So this isn't really an option.
Hotel. There is a hotel that is $99 a night and can accommodate 4 people per room. It is kind of janky from what I gather. There's another place that's less janky for $119 a night. The first one would be $75 for each of us for the weekend, and the second would be $90. Those are the only ones we might actually be able to afford.
Camping. I know you don't want to Mari Rose, and I don't know if there's any way to convince you, but it really is the best deal around. I know the showers and the bathrooms and the heat all suck, but it's only 3 days, and you can't beat the price or the convenience (imagine how long it would take to get out of the parking lot and back to the hotel each night).

How much are we all willing to pay for a hotel or vacation rental for Coachella? We need to get this done ASAP.

So. Now that my internet is working.
I'm officially the web editor in journalism, which means I get to fuck around with the website and make sure content gets posted. I probably won't have to upload stories any more, 'cause someone else might do it, so that just means I have to upload podcasts and blogs and stuff. Should be pretty easy. It's also my only class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I'll probably need the extra time.
I'm going to start doing my new show on the radio station with Thomas in a couple weeks. It's a show for local bands... unfortunately I don't know very many local bands (especially East Bay bands), so I'm going to have to start going to more shows. Oh, and I got a new time slot: Fridays 3-6pm. I'm also Alternative/Indie genre director at the radio station, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do for that yet.
I have a class at 8:30 this semester. It's a requirement for the MassCom degree, and they only offer it like once a year. It's Advertising Sales and Media Management, so it will probably be mind-numbingly boring. Oh well. At least now I have a reason to get up before 10.
After that, I have speech. Last Wednesday I went to 2 speech classes in a row, because I didn't know if I was going to be able to add into the first one. But I got added into the first one today, so I didn't have to go to the second one again, thankfully. There's a Twatlight fan in that class. One of the fat, dumb, loud ones. You know the kind I'm talking about. She wore a shirt today that said "Team Edward". And I heard her saying that she read the books after she watched the movie, and she liked the fourth book best (which, from what I've heard from Mari Rose, is a bad thing, yeah?). But the class in general seems like it will be all right.
My last class is an online music appreciation type class. I took it before IRL, but I failed 'cause I never went to class, so I'm doing it again (which will erase my old grade). The fact that my internet was down for the last five days was not helpful, but I should be back on track after this week.
Also, if you read the story Melissa posted earlier... I swear I saw those kids later in the car that was parked in the space in front of me when I was returning from a delivery. I am like 75% sure (which is actually a lot, since I only glanced at them the first time we saw them). What are the chances, though? Like, not even in the same city. Kinda freaked me out, actually.

I have no internet. I have had no internet for the past 5 days or something. I am at the library. The internet connection here sucks. I was going to write something else here but now I can't remember. Fuck. Oh well.
Oh yeah. I was going to write about my classes. But the library closes in 14 minutes, and I don't know if I'll have enough time to finish before the computer shuts off automatically and deletes everything I wrote. So never mind about that. I'll do it later. When my internet gets fixed.
EDIT: Of course, as soon as I get home, it's working again. Figures.

In 6 hours, this will be mine. I hope. Of course, if I want to listen to records in my room (and not in the garage on my brother's huge DJ speakers) I will still need a stereo, and if the stereo is new, a preamp. But I'm freaking excited.
Edit: Ugh. Some asshole is bidding like an asshole and I know he's gonna bid just over my maximum bid at the very last second, which happens to be while I'm at work. I hate people.

Hey, so I really could have used multiple ShamWows last night. A word of (fairly obvious) advice to everyone: you can't unclog a toilet by flushing it again. It doesn't work. You'll just end up with a huge mess (and I mean HUGE), and you'll have to stay up for hours wringing out soaked bath towels and putting them in the dryer. It's no fun (although it will be an interesting story to tell when it's all over).
I had a delivery today that would have caused a strange coincidence had it been made one minute earlier. It was a delivery to a hotel. The room was 425 and the street address of the hotel was 510. The order was taken at 4:26 and was due 45 minutes later at 5:ll.
I also delivered a pizza to a mental patient. I had to give the pizza through a door to a guy who then had to pass the pizza through the window to the lady. And then she told the guy that she gave him 17 dollars to give to me, but when I checked later she had actually given me 20.

There's a sale on Threadless. We should probably tell each other which shirts we plan on getting so we don't all end up with the same ones. I haven't decided what I want to get yet, but I kinda like this, this, and this one. And Mari Rose, you should get this one.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard are being published. And apparently the Killers have been working on their next album, and it's supposed to be released in November. Which probably means it will be out in April or something.

Treasure Island Festival tickets on Live 105 next week... But I can't technically win anything until Thursday. So you guys should try to win before then.
